Sober Grad Night 2013.doc

Dear Central Family, Friends, and Faculty,
My name is Kristi Nomellini and I am Chairperson for the Central 2013 Sober Grad Committee.  I am looking for any and all support as our committee moves forward in planning a fun-filled night for our Seniors.  We are in need of donations....any and all donations will be accepted.  For example school spirit wear, or monetary donations are fabulous. Just to let you know a little about what we are planning so far: Sober Grad will be held from 11pm-5am June 12th-13th.  It will be held at Blackbeards Family Fun Center.  All arcades without tickets or prizes will be available for unlimited use! Three miniature golf courses, Bank Shot Basketball, Jr. and Sidewinder Pro Racers, Bumper Boats, Speedway Nascars, Pirate Ship ride, Ropes Course, and Xtreme Laser tag will also be open for unlimited use.  We will have a DJ and dancing.
In addition to the above we will be having food hourly.  It will be themed from "Around the World" and have music to go along.  For an example, the first hour @11pm might be Pizza and we play Italian music, 12am Tacos and Mariachi music, 1am mini tri-tip sliders with this years most popular music symbolizing Senior night, on and on until 4am a Cereal Bar where the kids get to choose from tons of cereal.  Hopefully you get the idea.  Of course it's never a party without junk food such as nachos, candy, soda, etc throughout the night!
We are trying really hard to invovle the students in the planning and preparation of this event.  For an example we are trying to get t-shirts donated and if we do we would like to have a t-shirt designing contest for a prize.  We also are asking the youth to come up with a "Theme" for this years Sober Grad.  Also, to help with ticket pre-sales we will be offering a drawing for a free Prom bid for all students who purchase their Sober Grad ticket within a specific time period.  I hope you can each feel of our excitement to not only keep our youth SAFE that evening but to give them a night they can have fond memories of for years to come!
I have attached our letter for donations and would kindly ask if you have any contacts if you could please forward this email and letter or please contact either myself or Tammy Trout if you yourself have access to a donation for this event.  Tammys contact information is on the bottom of the letter attached above.  Thanks for in advance for your support and your time! On behalf of the Sober Grad committee for 2013 I thank you!

Sincerely,  Kristi Nomellini

Attention Parents: Sober Grad 2013

On June 12, 2013, over 600 Central High School Seniors will celebrate an important milestone in their lives, and we are planning an all-night Sober Graduation Celebration in their honor!  Graduation night is one of the most exciting yet potentially dangerous nights of their lives. The Central High School Sober Graduation’s goal is to provide these graduates with a safe, drug and alcohol free environment on graduation night. Read below to find out more:

Who: Central High School Graduates and their honored guests.

What: The Sober Graduation Celebration is an active, fun filled, entertaining

evening, with activities, food, music, contests and prizes.

Where:  Blackbeard’s located at 4055 N. Chestnut Diagonal Fresno, CA 93727

How: Sober Graduation tickets are on sale now!

Pricing:  These Prices will be available until the 7th of June.  After, prices will

              increase by $5 per ticket.

the first 200 will receive a free Sober Grad T-shirt.

  • $30.00 for guests. Please note: guests must be current Central High

School students; seniors are limited to 1 guest; senior and guest (junior)

tickets must be purchased at the same time.

Purchasing:

    * West Campus students can purchase tickets from Mrs. French

    * East Campus students can purchase tickets through Ms. Baldes

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, or partnering with the Central Sober Graduation Committee, please let us know. We are still accepting donations and any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of helpful tips:

 1. Please talk with your graduate about transportation, we as a committee do not want for our

Seniors to stay up all night having fun to in any way cause an accident on their way home.

Please make sure they are not in a car alone and/or if you can drop them off and pick them

up that would be great! Just want to keep our kids safe!

2. Certain rides have specific shoe requirements, example: straps on shoes for race cars and

full foot coverage for batting cages such as a tennis shoe.

3. All rides and video games are free of charge with paid sober grad ticket with exception of

rides that earn tickets or prizes and the one roller coaster ride which can all be purchased

if students desire.  Also, food may be purchased if desired however there will be many food and

    beverage choices for no charge!

We hope to make this a night to remember for our Graduating Seniors!  Your Sober Grad Committee
